As part of the film’s promotions, producers Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela spoke to the media today. However, recently, ticket prices for some movies and premieres are being increased. Moreover, the prices of popcorn, cool drinks, and food items are skyrocketing not only in multiplexes but also in single-screen theaters. There have been complaints about this for a long time. Many believe that it is precisely because of these high prices that people have reduced their visits to theaters.

However, while the producers are responding to the issue of ticket prices, and are increasing prices only for big films and high-budget movies, they are saying that they have no control over the prices of popcorn, cool drinks, and food, and that it is a matter for the theatre owners and the government to handle. Our correspondent, Shankar Varaprasad, questioned the producers on this matter.

Responding to this, Sahu Garapati said that ticket prices are being increased for only about ten films throughout the year, and only for big-budget, major films. He added that the prices of popcorn, cool drinks, and food are not under their control. However, he mentioned that Chiranjeevi has also noticed that these high prices have led to a decrease in people coming to theaters. He further stated that Chiranjeevi has said he will soon speak with both governments regarding food prices. He indicated that Chiranjeevi is likely to meet with the governments to discuss this matter after the current film promotions and the Sankranthi festival are over.
